“Yoshimura Motors” was founded in Fukuoka, Japan in 1954. Headed by the late Pops Yoshimura (October 7, 1922 – March 29, 1995), who started engine tuning in his own way, being a former military aircraft mechanic in World War 2. Since there wasn’t much information on engine tuning at that time, and he tuned many engines all by himself with his inspiration and knowledge in engineering. Soon later he became famous for tuning among American armies, and he started to be called “God Hand” in Japan. He challenged everything to overcome problems and improve tuning ability by himself and his continuous challenges made many victories in various races.

The years of experience made the name “Yoshimura” famous for the quality and the performance. Still more, the reputation has been created from various racing victories around the world. And they were the result of his unremitting effort.

Yoshimura expanded abroad in 1973 and Yoshimura companies (Yoshimura Japan Co., Ltd. and Yoshimura Research & Development of America, Inc.) were established to deal with motorcycle performance products.

Yoshimura now has a full stainless tri-oval exhaust system for the Suzuki FU150r Raider (aka Belang/Satria F). There are two options, SS for Stainless (P/N: 180-106-5350) and ST for Titanium (P/N: 180-106-5380). Noise is rated at about 95dB. There aren’t any torque curves or other info just yet but judging from what they did for the Ninja 250R, the results should be good.

It would be nice to see what Yoshimura can do with the FU150r if they go all out with the mods like they did with the Yoshimura Katana 1135R. A Yoshimura “FU150r-R” perhaps?
